The annual Winter Walk is scheduled at Putnam Park on Saturday, Dec. 8, starting at 11 a.m. at the Visitor Center, when opens at 10.
This is a 45-minute walk through the park with local historian Dan Cruson. He will describe the details of the winter encampment that took place during the Revolutionary War. Re-enactment soldiers will accompany the group.
The event is free but donations will be accepted. There will be refreshments.
Putnam Park is located at the junction of Routes 107 and 58.
The event is sponsored by the Friends and Neighbors of Putnam Park and the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
