Connecticut Light & Power Company will send representatives to town on Tuesday, Jan. 8, to explain to the public how it manages the power restoration process during an extended outage. The meeting is at the Redding Community Center at 7:30 p.m. The snow date is Wednesday, Jan. 9.
First Selectman Natalie Ketcham said many people have had questions about the power restoration process. “I requested that CL&P come to town to explain to residents how power is restored after a widespread outage. Questions remain after Storm Sandy, and CL&P is the entity with the authority to provide answers,” Ms. Ketcham said. “Hopefully, the information provided will be helpful to residents if we ever have to endure another extended outage.”
Expected to attend the meeting are Lissette Andino, the town’s CL&P representative and a supervisor and regional coordinator, and her supervisor, Dominic Scerbo.
“I encourage residents to come out for this unique opportunity to her from CL&P directly,” said Ms. Ketcham.
