Joel Barlow High School’s production of “Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up” earned three awards at the annual Connecticut Drama Association Festival. The festival was held at Old Saybrook High School on March 15 and 16.

Thomas Ordway and Lucy Wainright won The All-Connecticut Cast Award “for excellent work in creating a character that is believable, often complex and textures, and truthful to the production.”

The show also received an award for “outstanding work in creating and developing compassionate application of classical material.”

Diana Canova served as director for the play and Barlow student Thomas Ordway was co-director. The two provided initial direction and interpretation for the play, but when they came to a point where they needed suggestions, members of the ensemble provided input.
