Tibetan Center sponsors Compassion Conference in Danbury

Co-sponsored by Redding’s Tibetan Center for Universal Peace, the Mindfulness and Compassion in the Classroom Conference will take place on Friday, Sept. 18 in Danbury.

The conference will focus on providing research-based, practical practices and strategies that teachers of all grade levels can use to help increase social and emotional learning by implementing compassion and mindfulness in the classroom.

This event, held at Western Connecticut State University midtown campus on Friday Sept. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. is co-sponsored by the WCSU Department of Education, The Center for Compassion, Creativity and Innovation and DNKL, the Tibetan Center for Universal Peace.

Tickets cost $80 and include continental breakfast and lunch.
