Tibetan temple hosts workshop on the neuroscience and psychology of joy

Anahita Moghaddam will lead a workshop on the science and psychology of joy at the Tibetan Buddhist Center at 30 Putnam Park Road on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 10 to noon.

“Participants will examine the human condition, from the perspective of evolutionary neurobiology and contemplative psychology, and learn practical mind-body techniques for establishing insight and integration into daily lives,” the center said. Moghaddam is a coach and speaker who holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising from the London College of Communication and a master’s degree in social anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.

She has facilitated workshops on the Neuroscience of Mindfulness at the 2014 Feast Conference, and led a master class at the 2015 Social Media Week NY, which was featured on Huffington Post Live.

Her workshop has also been featured on Entrepreneur.com.

Teachings at the Tibetan Center are free to the public and donations are welcome.  Information: 203-664-1574.
