Fairfield County Community Foundation has added four new board members, including John Freeman of Redding, to bring their corporate and nonprofit expertise to the foundation.
Mr. Freeman serves as general counsel for Harbor Point Development, LLC, in Stamford. A land use and environmental attorney, he is currently working on the redevelopment of 80 acres of industrial property in the city of Stamford, which includes brownfield cleanup in conjunction with the Army Corps of Engineers and other partners and the construction of six million square feet of mixed use development.
Mr. Freeman is a frequent speaker on brownfield redevelopment and serves on the boards of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce and the South End Revitalization Zone Committee.
A graduate of the College of Wooster, Mr. Freeman received his law degree from Columbia University School of Law and attended the London School of Economics.
