More residents without power

At 11:19 this morning a major substation fuse and transformer went down in Redding.

This caused many areas in town to lose power. Approximately 1,500 residents are out of power.

Connecticut Light and Power is still in town and working on the problem.

There are crews working on Peaceable Street and the police department is asking all resident to stay clear of the area.

Schools have dismissed early. Notification was sent out by the

board of education.

CL&P estimate to have full restoration of the problem by 5 p.m. today.
