Film showing, book group, blood pressure screening and more at Heritage Center

The next Feast of Flicks movie, Julie and Julia will be held on Monday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. in the Lounge. Light refreshments will be served.

There will be no Spanish Class on Monday, Nov. 19. Classes will resume on Monday, Nov. 26, at 3:15 p.m.

The Center will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and on Thursday, Nov. 22, for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The next meeting of Talking About Books will be on Monday, Nov. 26, in the lounge. The book to be discussed is Layover in Dubai by Dan Fesperman, an intriguing mystery set in the business world of Dubai. This is facilitated by Myrna Robinson. Refreshments will be served.

Blood Pressure Screening will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 12:20 to 1:30 p.m. in the lounge. This is a free service for Redding residents.

The next Jewelry Class will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 3:30 p.m. in the Art Room.

We would like to start a beginning Genealogy Is A Journey class, which will cover how and where to begin your search, discover the most important genealogy Internet sites and how to use them. This class will be taught by Toni McKeen, who has taught this course for many years.

We are also interested in starting another Beginning Spanish Conversation course. This will be taught by Mary Ellen Sanford, a retired language teacher who will be guiding a class intended to be fun as well as educational.
