Scratch programming topic of library’s Nov. 17 workshop

A Scratch programming workshop for children in grades four through six is set at the Mark Twain Library for Saturday, Nov. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art — and share your creations on the web.

As kids create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.

Participants are asked to bring their laptops (Mac or PC) to the program.
