Firehouse pancake breakfast is scheduled for Dec. 9

The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department is holding its third annual pancake breakfast on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Firefighters will serve pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee and orange juice as well as give visitors a tour of the firehouse.

The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and under.

This fund-raiser helps the department raise money for radios, turnout gear, pagers, training, classes, repairs, new equipment and much more.

It also gives the volunteers a chance to get to know the community they serve and lets the community get to know the volunteers. The breakfast is also a good opportunity for interested volunteers to talk to a firefighter or EMT.
