George Zipparo, a Redding artist, is exhibiting his work in the New Canaan Society for the Arts smallWORK exhibit.
It is an affordable art exhibition of work in all media other than photography and not larger than 14 inches in any direction, including the frame. All works are for sale, and the show runs through Dec. 23 at the Betty Barker Gallery, Carriage Barn Arts Center in Waveny Park.
The show of approximately 100 pieces by 45 artists from Connecticut, New York and Rhode Island was selected by the Carriage Barn Gallery Committee from a call for entries.
Mr. Zipparo is former vice president/associate creative director in New York City. His work has been exhibited in the juried show of the Connecticut Society of Portrait Painters, the Ridgefield Guild of Artists annual juried exhibits in 2011 and 2012 and the Carriage Barn Arts Center smallWORK exhibit. He had two paintings in the 2012 Mark Twain Library art show. He donated 10 portraits to the residents and staff of the Danbury Health Care Center in 2011.
Gallery hours at the Carriage Barn Arts Center are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 to 4. The Carriage Barn Arts Center is located in Waveny Park, off South Avenue (Rte. 124), one-quarter mile north of Merritt Parkway exit 37.
