Friday, Jan. 4

Lyrics Coffeehouse at the Redding Community Center at 7:30 p.m. Griff Anhony will perform. Admission is $12 or $10 in advance for each show. Half price for seniors and students. For more information, call (203) 938-2551.

Tuesday, Jan. 8

Connecticut Light & Power Company meeting at the Redding Community Center at 7:30 p.m. to explain the company’s power restoration process. The snow date is Jan. 9 at the same time and place.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

John Guffey will talk about teaching English in China at the Mark Twain Library at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to his talk. Those interested should register by calling the Mark Twain Library, 203-938-2545 or online through the library’s website marktwainlibrary.org.

Monday, Jan. 14

Redding Garden Club meeting at the Redding Community Center starting at 11 a.m. with a light lunch and then a business meeting. Margaret Robbins, the guest speaker, will begin her talk at 1 p.m. about attracting birds to one’s garden. Guests and potential new members are welcome to attend ($5 fee). Thursday, Jan. 17

Connecting to Customers One Letter @ a Time, a program by Cathy Drury, a Constant Contact Solution Provider, at the Mark Twain Library at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
