Redding’s Diana Canova is directing A Knighttime Musical with performances at the Samuel Staples Elementary School Cafetorium on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 8 and 9, at 7 and on Saturday at 2 p.m. Students in the seventh and eighth grades at Helen Keller Middle School are preparing for the performances.
An original musical written by Ms. Canova, a Broadway and television actor, and Redding teacher Kathy Weiss, the plot of A Knighttime Musical is based on a Brothers Grimm fairy tale, The Twelve Dancing Princesses. Ms. Canova is involved in Joel Barlow High School and John Read Middle School plays.
