Does Redding want to be a super-high-speed internet town?

The town of Redding is looking for input on the way its residents and businesses use the Internet. The survey results compiled will help determine whether there is significant desire for an ultra-high-speed network in town.

According to a press release from the town, there is a statewide initiative called CT Gig that is “working with towns and cities interested in public-private partnerships to install ultra-high speed fiber optic networks.”

In Redding, the Public Utilities Task Force (Leon Karvelis, Susan Clark, Don Cullman, Wes Higgins, Henry Polio) is leading the work on this project.
