Donations are needed for injured 4-year-old

Robby Klimaytis

Family and friends have organized an auction with proceeds going to Robby Klimaytis. Robby is a 4-year-old boy who was injured in Redding in a tragic accident on Nov. 5.

He was out playing in a ditch in his yard when a fallen tree moved and pinned him for 20 to 30 minutes. He was brought to the Emergency Room at Danbury Hospital and sent via Life Star to Connecticut Children’s’ Medical Center.

He has been diagnosed with an anoxic brain injury due to his prolonged time without oxygen. He will need 24-hour home care for the remainder of his life.

Family and friends of Robby are trying to raise money for the significant medical expenses Robby has already incurred and will continue to incur.

They have organized a Facebook online auction, to be later followed by a benefit dinner and raffle in late January.

To make the auction a success for Robby, Robby’s family needs donated items and services, to be listed on the auction Facebook page immediately.

They also need bidders. There are currently more than 20 items up for auction, with more to come.

The bidding on these items will close at midnight on Sunday, Dec. 23. For more information about the event, visit the “Auction for Robby Klimaytis & Family” Facebook page or email the page administrators, Leslie Muska at [email protected] or Jessica Santos at [email protected]

Monetary donations for Robby can be made to Robert Lawrence Klimaytis Fund at Rockville Bank, P.O. Box 960, Somers, Conn., 06071.
