Registration is closed for Farm race

The Redding Road Race, “A Run For The Cows,” has sold out in only eight days thanks to an enthusiastic response from local runners as well as those from across the state and beyond.

The half marathon, seven mile, and the  Mighty Cow Challenge will be held on Sunday, May 5, with proceeds to benefit the programs of the New Pond Farm Education Center.

The three main races have registrants from 85 Connecticut towns (more than a third of the registrants are from Redding and neighboring towns), 19 states, and Canada.

A few registrations  have been reserved for additional New Pond Farm Education Center members and Redding residents who may have missed registration deadline.

The Piglet Prance, the children’s three-quarter mile run around the farm’s rolling pastures, remains open.

Interested Redding residents and children runners along with businesses interested in sponsoring the race can contact Race Director John McCleary directly at [email protected] or 203-448-0045.
